Stephen Landis

Hello! My name is Stephen Landis, a writer, poet, and self-published author from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I also have interest in technology and programming. My passion for writing is deeply rooted in my Christian faith, which influences much of my work. Whether through whimsical poetry or thoughtful reflections, I seek to explore truth, grace, and the beauty of God’s Word. I believe writing is a powerful tool to encourage, challenge, and uplift others in their walk with Christ.

Theology

My theological beliefs are deeply rooted in historic, biblical Christianity. I believe in the authority and inerrancy of Scripture as God’s inspired Word, revealing His truth to humanity. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone—completely apart from works—and is the free gift of God to those who put their trust in Him. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, securing victory over sin and death. There is nothing we can do to earn salvation; it is entirely the work of Jesus Christ. I affirm the necessity of repentance and faith in Christ for salvation and believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, who sanctifies and empowers believers. My faith shapes not only my writing but also my daily life, as I seek to glorify God in all that I do.

Writing

My writing is a reflection of my faith, creativity, and passion for storytelling. I enjoy exploring deep truths through poetry and prose, using language to inspire, challenge, and encourage others. With this, I hope to blend introspection with faith,  aiming to point readers toward hope and meaning.

I have self-published Joy in Verse and Stepping Into Faith: Ten Faith-Building Practices for New Christians. I hope to continue publishing books. Alongside this, I actively submit poems to literary magazines and such. I became a columnist for Calvinfelineism at the beginning of this year after testing the mobile app.

Outside of Writing

Outside of writing, I have a strong interest in technology and programming, particularly in web development and IoT projects. I enjoy problem-solving and using creativity to build practical solutions, whether through coding or hands-on projects. In addition to tech, I appreciate entrepreneurship and exploring ways to blend my skills in writing and technology to create meaningful work. My faith influences every aspect of my life, and I strive to live with purpose, whether through serving others, engaging in meaningful discussions, or simply learning new things.

I hope to eventually use my skills towards mission work. Many missionaries need tech skills, especially with website creation. In the meantime, I am trying to build up my portfolio.
